Old World Chicken and Vegetables
Yield: Makes 4 servings
Ingredients:
1tablespoon dried oregano
1teaspoon salt, divided
1teaspoon paprika
1/2teaspoon garlic powder
1/4teaspoon black pepper
2medium green bell peppers, cut into thin strips
1small yellow onion, thinly sliced
1cut-up whole chicken (about 3 pounds)
1/3cup ketchup
6ounces uncooked egg noodles
Preparation:
1.Combine oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, paprika, garlic powder and black pepper in small bowl; mix well.2.Place bell peppers and onion in slow cooker. Top with chicken thighs and legs. Sprinkle with half the oregano mixture. Top with chicken breasts. Sprinkle chicken with remaining oregano mixture. Cover; cook on LOW 8 hours or on HIGH 4 hours. Stir in ketchup and remaining 1/2 teaspoon salt. 3.Just before serving, cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Serve chicken and vegetables over noodles.
